I called this business not realizing they were out of our area. But the owner Matt took the initiative to say that he thought I could do the repair myself. He asked me to send pics and then walked me thru the repair thru text. His expertise on our older SubZero was remarkable. Hard to believe this kind of response still exists. Use this business if you want a quality experience!

We called Matt for problem with our washing machine and again recently with a leaking refrigerator. He returned our text(best way to reach him) within one day, diagnosed the problem, gave us expert advice and service in repairs. He is pleasant to work with, has very fair prices, and has many years experience. He is the BEST and ONLY person we will call for appliance repairs and with him being a long-time Rotarian truly lives by the Rotary motto: "Service above Self"!

The owner is responsive and probably the last service business owner left on the planet that actually helps you troubleshoot to decide if you need him to come out. We used him for our fridge, he was excellent so when our undercounter ice machine began failing I called again. He asked a couple questions for me to check first, and he was right. I don’t write many reviews but he’s just so good, I couldn’t help but tell others.

Recently took possession of new home where sellers included existing washer and dryer. They mentioned as an afterthought that “occasionally” the washer made some noises while spinning but they never had it looked at.Fast forward to now. The 15 y.o. washer functions, but is quite consistently loud. I texted Matt to see if he could take a look. He texted back very quickly. He said based on my description, it sounded like the tub bearings had failed and I would need a new washer. He suggested a diagnostic test, which I performed. I sent him a brief video of me easily shaking the interior tub. This confirmed his assessment. Not worth a service call, or repair. I really appreciate the remote diagnosis and as you can see from this picture, not only was he correct, but this had obviously been a longstanding issue.I was able to be proactive, and obtain a replacement in a timely way, vs having a sudden ill timed machine failure and likely lengthy wait for a new machine.There is a spot on the washer (left) and adjacent dryer(right) where the paint wore off the sheet metal of BOTH appliances due to constant banging of the wash tub against the cabinet. You can see where the sheet metal actually became dented from this.I would absolutely reach out to Matt for any future appliance issues. Thank you!

Not only did Matthew repair the problem with my appliance, but as he worked, he showed me the issues causing the problem and explained the solution he was applying. Excellent quality of work and communication. I highly recommend. I've used three appliance services in Beaufort, and he is the best.

Had a refrigerator that the freezer was not working. Through texting received guidance as to recommendation regarding this situation. There was a quick response to our concerns and professional recommendations regarding whether it was worthwhile to repair. I very much appreciated the suggestion that the cost of the possible repair was not worth spending. Although we never used this service, upon the advice received I would call Appliance Plus for future issues due to I felt we received helpful and professional advice!

Unbelievable Service!!! I texted with a problem on a dryer and they responded immediately with what to check. I did exactly what they said and in 15 minutes my dryer was repaired. This is what customer service looks like in a time when it is impossible to get anything accomplished. I highly recommend this company.

Excellent customer service!! Called the number, got a voice mail that said I could text or email if not leaving a message. Sent a text, and he was willing to come out that afternoon, when the text I sent was at 430pm. We were not available, so he came the next day, and was done with in less than 30min. AND, he showed my husband how to fix it the problem if is occured again/to prevent it from happening again! Will MOST definitely call again if we have ANY appliance issues, and highly reccomend them!! Thanks again!!

My GE fridge went poop last night(Sunday). 0000's with lights blinking on and off. Googled, found I needed a new Control Board, looked online, Amazon had it for $150 but would be here on Wednesday. Called around trying to find parts after hours. Texted ARP (since that's what the voice mail said to do), about the part I needed (called others but they never got back to me). Got a text this morning (Monday) and luckily he had the part onhand(he usually doesn't keep it on hand he said, but I would actually start carrying them in stock if I were him). Anyway, got charged $200 for the part. I opened it up and a receipt fell out...lol... He paid $126 for it. Now some of you might be thinking damn... He got you good... But think about it this way... Same day pickup, got home and was able to install the control board myself(pretty easy process BTW) and now my fridge is fixed. No labor costs(not sure how much he charges per hour) but 20 mins of my time and was able to save everything in the fridge, not only that, but I felt like a boss after seeing it fixed...now my fiance won't hear the end of it for a good while.One of the best $200 I have ever spent.

Things do go awry with appliances. Not that frequently, but when they do, it is usually an urgent need. Appliance Repairs Plus has long been my go-to company and owner, Matthew Straut has always come through. My latest event was a clogged sink disposal. A “help” text to Matthew on a Sunday evening in the middle of a Patriots game was immediately returned, and he was on the job at 8:30 the next morning. That’s service. Prompt and with over 20 years of experience, done right the first time. Many Kudos.

After a move, I had a washing machine issue so I texted Matt and immediately heard back. He made a prompt appointment for the very next morning and was timely, friendly, and respectful. Matt was extremely knowledgeable and explained what he was doing along the way. My machine was purchased used several years ago so when I had a question about the age of the machine he wrote down the information and researched it for me and contacted me with the date/information shortly thereafter.

Can't say enough good things about this repair service. He was prompt to answer my text re range not working in our rental cottage with guests expected next day. Talked me thru an easy fix by phone text and voila it was fixed!!! Wouldn't charge me anything. Working out on Fripp as a private caregiver and the oven misbehaved. I called the regular appliance service that the family uses and they couldn't make a house call for over a week! Who can go with out an appliance for over a week!Made a call to Appliance Repairs Plus and got their VM. It said to text or email him, so I texted him and asked if he would be on Fripp anytime soon - this was at 9:00 am in the morning. Matt quickly responded and asked for the address and was here in 10 minutes - gone in 20!He quickly diagnosed the problem and even made recommendations for prevention of repeat problems. His service was beyond exceptional! I highly recommend Appliance Repairs Plus.
